Tutorial Assignment #1: Used Cars – Toyota Corolla
Download the excel dataset here: Tutorial Assignment 1
The goal of this assignment is to prepare you for completing the next tutorial assignment (#2) on pivot tables.
The assignment is pretty straight forward and simple. If you run into any trouble during this assignment, please refer back to the reading: Plug-in module T3 (“Problem Solving Using Excel 2013”).
Each tab is already defined, please make sure you are doing the right part to each tab.
Copy the data from the source worksheet “Toyota Corollas” into the “Sort” tab. Here you will need to sort rows by “price” in ascending order.
In part 2, copy the data from the source worksheet “Toyota Corollas” into the “Custom Sort” tab. You will need to perform the needed custom sort. Here you will need to use the custom sort to sort the weight of the cars specificially in this order: 1600, 1900, 1800, 2000.
Next in part 3 you will need to again copy the data from the source worksheet “Toyota Corollas” into the “Filter” tab. Here you want to only show the cars with 110 HP.
For Part 4, opy the data from the source worksheet “Toyota Corollas” into the “Custom Filter” tab. For this part we only want to display the cars that are priced between $15000.00-$19680.00.
Next you will create a Pivot table that will show the “average price” of each “Model.”
Hint: Change the VALUES area to “Average of Price”
Please submit your assignment by uploading the completed spreadsheet file to the appropriate dropbox for TA2.
For question #2 you should be sorting CC and not weight.
